Thesis: Innovations in cannabis cultivation technology
Thesis: Possible applications of Biotechnology in the Cannabis Sativa L. plant
Biotechnology was applied in the morphological, taxonomic and genetic characterization of the cannabis genus. Focusing the thesis on the analysis of genetic variability between individual genotypes.
A total of 8 PCR based microsatellite markers were used to analyze this genetic variability. A total of 23 alleles were detected with a diameter of 2.88 per locus, with a size between 140 and 240 bp. Greater number of alleles was found in markers CAN0039 and CAN 0093.
The results show the usefulness of microsatellite markers for the analysis of genetic variability in the Cannabis Sativa L. plant.
