Cannabis micro-propagation (tissue culture)
The research involved the development of tissue culture protocols for selected varieties of cannabis. This process involved taking explants (a fragment of a mother plant) from the plant of interest, sterilizing and placing them in a sterile nutritional growth medium with growth hormones and vitamins.
After evaluating various indicator parameters of plant health in response to growth hormones, the best combination of growth hormones was chosen and a total of six varieties were stabilized and sprouting and rooting protocols were established .
